- Absolutely, beginner classes are built around pad work, bag work and conditioning. You won't spar until you've got the fundamentals down, and sparring always stays technical and coach-supervised.
- What gear do I need to start Muay Thai?
- Comfortable athletic clothes are enough for your first session. Most gyms lend gloves. As you progress you'll want hand wraps, 12–16 oz gloves, shin guards and a mouthguard.
