Description
Compression knee sleeves for BJJ, sold as a pair, in a knitted nylon-spandex weave with silicone grip strips at the top so they stay put through wrestling shots and knee cuts. They give warmth and light compression to a knee that gets sore from a season of guard work, without the bulk of a padded knee pad, and they fit under spats or gi pants.
Why grapplers choose it
Grappling knees take a specific kind of abuse: repeated kneeling on the mat, twisting under pressure in half guard and the occasional tweak during a scramble. A compression sleeve keeps the joint warm, gives proprioceptive feedback that reminds you where your knee is during a roll, and takes the edge off kneeling on thin mats. This pair uses a breathable knit, about 2 mm thick, with a contoured shape that does not bunch behind the knee and silicone strips that stop the top from sliding down. They are thin enough to wear under spats for no-gi or under gi pants, and they wash like a rash guard.

Fit and sizing
Measure around your thigh about 4 inches (10 cm) above the kneecap. L fits 17 to 19 inches (43 to 48 cm), XL fits 19 to 21 inches (48 to 53 cm). A compression sleeve should feel snug all the way around and stay in place when you squat, but not pinch behind the knee or leave deep marks after a class. If you are between sizes, choose the larger size for all-day comfort or the smaller for more compression during training. Grapplers with large thighs from squatting should measure rather than guess.
Care
Hand wash or machine wash cold in a mesh bag, no bleach, no softener, and hang dry. Heat breaks down the spandex and the silicone strips. Rotate the pair if you train daily so each sleeve dries fully between sessions.

FAQ
Are knee sleeves good for BJJ?
Many grapplers wear them for warmth, light compression and comfort when kneeling on the mat. They do not replace a brace for an unstable knee, but for a sore or stiff joint they make a long class more comfortable, and they help the sleeve wearer stay aware of knee position in scrambles.
Knee sleeves or knee pads for grappling?
Sleeves are thin, compressive and good for sore joints and warmth. Knee pads add foam padding for kneeling on hard mats, wrestling shots and knee-on-belly. If your knees hurt from kneeling, pick pads; if they feel stiff or sore inside, pick sleeves. Many people own both.
How tight should knee sleeves be?
Snug enough to stay in place through squats and shots without rolling, but you should be able to slide a finger under the top edge. Numbness, tingling or deep marks after class mean the size is too small. Use the thigh measurement rather than your pant size.
Can I wear knee sleeves under a gi?
Yes. At about 2 mm they fit under gi pants and spats without showing or restricting movement, and the silicone strips keep them in place even when the gi pants slide over them. Check your competition rules, since some events require any joint support to be approved by the referee at check-in.
