The BJJ belt is the one piece of the uniform you keep for years, so it is worth getting the size and the fabric right. Our cotton rank belt comes in all five adult ranks, white, blue, purple, brown and black, with the black sleeve bar that holds your stripes. BJJ gis in 450 GSM pearl weave and a lightweight cut are in preparation and will join this collection.

Belt sizing. Belts follow the gi scale, A1 to A4. Match your gi size: the tails should hang about 8 to 12 inches past the knot on each side once tied. Between two sizes, go up; a belt that is too short looks worse than one that is a little long. If you do not own a gi yet, A2 fits most adults between 5 ft 6 and 5 ft 10, A3 from 5 ft 10 to 6 ft 2.

Care. Cotton belts stiffen with washing and soften with use. Wash cold, hang dry, and never put a belt in the dryer. Do not bleach a white belt: it turns yellow. Free US shipping on every order, delivery in 7 to 12 business days, 15-day returns on unused items.
